We are focused on children’s interests being
at the heart of everything we do!

About Us

Your local Widnes Pre-school is here to support all families in Halton.  Here at Early Learners we have our very own Pre-school classroom and experienced team who supports and prepares the children ready for school.

Our Pre-school is led by our early years teacher and deputy manager.  At Early Learners we employ a highly educated and experienced workforce to ensure your child gets the best start in life. We have a 100% practitioners who are first aid trained. All children are assigned a key person.  This key person is your main point of contact and is here to support you in any way they can.  In our Pre-School we also offer parents the opportunity to attend parent meetings.

As a leading childcare provider within Halton, we are fully committed to working towards the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the learning outcomes specified and reinforced by Ofsted. This means that your child will follow an individual learning programme as shown in the EYFS section.

& Childcare Funding

What you need to know?

Working parents may be able to get funded childcare for a child aged 9 months to 4 years old. If your child is:

  • 9 months to 2 years old, you can get 15 hours per week of funded childcare

  • 3 to 4 years old, you can get 30 hours per week of funded childcare

All 3 and 4-year-olds in England are also entitled to 15 hours of funded early education and childcare per week for 38 weeks.  You may be able to get free childcare if you have a 2-year-old and get certain benefits.

Eligible children in England may claim 15 hours of funding, that's 570 free hours per year.  Here at Early Learners we spread this entitlement over 12 months (instead of 38 weeks), to help spread the savings throughout the year.

You may be able to get up to 30 hours funded childcare (1,140 hours per year, which you can choose how you take). The ‘30 hours childcare’ scheme is great news for eligible families, who could claim up to double the amount childcare they are currently entitled to.  This could take your funded childcare entitlement from 570 hours a year up to 1,140 hours a year.  If you’re eligible for the extra hours, you can simply sign up online to get a code to give to us your childcare provider to reserve your place. You’ll get the extra hours once the next term starts.  For more information please click on the 15hr or 30hr options below:
