Early Years Funding
From ages 9 months to 4 years old

What you need to know?
If you’re a working parent, you may be able to get 30 hours of free childcare a week if your child is aged 9 months to 4 years old, that's 1140 funded hours per year. All 3 and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free early education or childcare per week that’s 570 funded hours per year. Here at Early Learners we stretch the funding over 12 months/ 52 week (instead of 38 weeks), this is to help working families and spread the savings throughout the year.
You can apply for 30 hours of free childcare from when your child is 23 weeks old. You can check the government set deadlines for applying below:

Once you know if you are eligible, you can simply sign up and apply online. To apply, you’ll need to set up a childcare account, it usually takes 20 minutes to apply. If your application is approved, you’ll get an 11-digit code that proves you’re eligible to get free childcare. You’ll need to give this code to us your childcare provider. You’ll receive your funded hours once your code has been approved.

How to use Tax Free Childcare?
You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. This goes up to £1,000 every 3 months if a child is disabled (up to £4,000 a year).
If you get Tax-Free Childcare, you’ll set up an online childcare account for your child. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to use to pay your provider.
You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 15 or 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.
