Making the best of your Funded Hours

Here at Early Learners, we stretch your entitlement over 52 weeks per year, giving our parents more. You have the option to use your entitlement as part of your permanent booking pattern to suit individual needs. In line with the Early Years statutory guidance childcare providers cannot use more than 10 funded hours within one day. Parents are never charged for funded hours. Our options are subject to availability.

Partially Funding Options

If you chose option 2, you have the choice to use your remaining funded hours if you need them. You can apply these hours to a private session or day. We call this a ‘partially funded option’. We simply deduct the relevant remaining hour(s) per week off your chosen private session or day. Early Learners offers year-round childcare on a sessional or full day basis. We do not provide hourly care or sessions of only 1 or 2 hours.

Nutrition and Mealtimes

Meals are included when you have paid for your private session(s) or day(s). Funded sessions meals are chargeable at a separate rate (payable monthly) as these are not covered financially by the governments early years funding. On funded session(s)/ day(s) we allow families to bring in their own healthy eating homemade cold meal (packed lunch), where the meal offered is not suitable for their child, they may have a specific dietary need, or the parent prefers a lower cost option. Parents must comply to our healthy and safe eating packed lunch conditions, otherwise we reserve the right to stop packed lunches being brought in. Please refer to our policies & procedures for further information. Please note our childcare provision is unable to heat meals or refrigerate food on our premises. Meals are not sold separately. We only offer meals as a monthly package. Meals are payable in advance.

Understanding Chargeable Extras

Here at Early Learners, we are transparent about our charges. Government funding is intended to deliver free, high quality, flexible childcare. Funded hours are not intended to cover the costs of additional service or chargeable extras. Parents can therefore expect to pay for services or extras offered by the childcare provider alongside their funded entitlement. This is a private matter between the provider (Early Learners Nurseries) and the parent. All additional services are chargeable. Options are subject to availability and may not be available. If you do not wish to pay for specific consumables, for example because you wish to provide your own, please make us aware so next steps can be discussed. Additional services are added as a product fee and itemized on your invoice per month. We only accept the payment of fees, monthly, in advance. Parents are required to provide notice in line with our terms & conditions.

Additional Voluntary Services

Here at Early Learners throughout the year we offer a wide range of enhanced activities for your child to take part in. Funded hours is not intended to cover the costs of additional services. Parents can therefore expect to pay for any enhanced activities offered by the childcare provider alongside their funded entitlement.
