Our Policies & Procedures

Here to Help!

Policies and procedures are essential to help us provide good quality provision that is compliant with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).  We have divided this up into Five sections.

Our Curriculum

The EYFS

The early years foundation stage ( EYFS ) sets standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old.  This framework sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well, are kept healthy, safe and have the knowledge and skills they need to start school.

Home Learning

Learning resources and activities

Here at Early Learners we have produced several home learning packs for you and your child. Play is important for the early stages of brain development and can help build relationships for later life, it also helps to develop important skills for learning, life and work.

Healthy Eating

Meal Times

Mealtimes are about more than simply what your child eats — we take the opportunity to use this crucial time to aid their learning and social skills.  By linking in with our planning we are able to increase children’s understanding of where food comes from and how we grow it.

Free Early Education

for 2, 3 & 4 year old's!

What is Free Early Education (F.E.E)?

All 3 and 4-year-olds and some 2-year olds in England are currently entitled to up to 15 hours a week free childcare for 38 weeks of the year (during school term-times).  All children in England get 570 free hours per year.  We spread this free entitlement over 12 months (instead of 38 weeks), to help spread the savings throughout the year.

You may be able to get up to 30 hours free childcare (1,140 hours per year, which you can choose how you take). The ‘30 hours free childcare’ scheme is great news for eligible families, who could claim up to double the amount of free childcare they are currently entitled to.  This could take your free childcare entitlement from 570 hours a year up to 1,140 hours a year.  If you’re eligible for the extra hours, you can simply sign up online to get a code to give to us your childcare provider to reserve your place. You’ll get the extra hours once the next term starts.  For more information please click on the 15hr or 30hr options.
